If there is a single characteristic element of San Francisco it must be its impassable streets with their steep slopes.
Located between Hyde and Leavenworth is Lombard Street, which is known as the steepest street in San Francisco, although it is not actually the holder of this title. Every day hundreds of tourists come to the street to take pictures of its 40 degree incline and arranged in zigzag.
The main attraction of Lombard Street is seeing cars going down the street as if it were a roller-coaster. The best place to take photos is from the lower part of the street.
Cable Car: Powell-Hyde line.
